Sean Applegate,
Packeteer Federal Systems Engineer Manager, specializes in helping
US Government organizations build application performance-focused
Wide Area Network Infrastructures. Sean has been focused on WAN
and Application Optimization within the US Government for over 8
years and brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients. Sean has
provided optimization consulting on some of the US Government's
highest visibility projects, such as DHS OneNet, US Navy ADNS,
USAF Block 1 & 30 Networks, Centcom Global War On Terror (GWOT)
Network, DISA Global Broadcast System (GBS), US GLORIAD Project
and many others. The most common enterprise-level projects Sean
is involved with include SLA/Visibility projects, MPLS enablement,
QoS, VoIP deployments, Server/Data Consolidation and COOP
scenarios. Sean is a firm believer there is no silver bullet to
solving an enterprise's WAN performance problems. However by
building a well rounded and integrated infrastructure they can
reduce ongoing costs, create a more predictable end user
experience and migrate to a proactive instead of reactive
strategy.
Sean has been
an engineer with Packeteer for over 6 years. Prior to joining
Packeteer Sean worked in the DoD IT community both as a consultant
and a USMC service member. He has over 13 years experience in the
IT industry. As a former 'tip of the spear' end user of DoD
networks Sean always keeps the end users' experience and goals in
mind. Sean is an AFCEA member.
