SILER CITY, NC - September 4,
2007-
Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc. (CAD), an industry leader in
network security solutions, has been awarded a contract by the
State of North Carolina to provide disk encryption using
Winmagic’s SecureDoc solution. The contract is part of an effort
by state government to increase the security and integrity of
confidential and personal information and will offer data
encryption protection for laptops, desktops, servers, mobile
devices, removable media, and files and folders. Installation,
consulting and training will be provided by CAD as part of the
contract.
Winmagic’s SecureDoc disk encryption solution meets the State of
North Carolina’s criteria for the protection of critical
government data and is the only disk encryption software certified
by the National Security Agency (NSA). While the contract is
mandatory for government agencies, it will be offered as a
convenience contract to the North Carolina University and
Community College System, as well as the K-12 school system and
local government agencies.
The product fits well with Carolina Advanced Digital’s focus on
network security and protection of critical data. “The NSA
certification holds a lot of weight with us since our company
founders are ex-military,” said Susan Jabbusch, Vice President of
Carolina Advanced Digital. “We dedicate our engineering efforts
solely to best of breed solutions. Our own in-house use and
testing of SecureDoc convinced us that it was a superior product
to offer our client base.” |
